Jorrie Thors is a Registered Massage Therapist, having completed her training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2010.
Jorrie works with a wide variety of conditions. Whether you have acute or chronic pain, scar tissue, autoimmune disease, anxiety, depression, or require support for cancer treatments, Jorrie welcomes you to experience the benefits of massage therapy. Having completed specialized training for women during pregnancy and postpartum, Jorrie offers a lot of relief and comfort during this life transition, including creating a functional scar after a Caesarean section.
Jorrie works hard to achieve excellent results. She uses jade stones and techniques such as myofascial release, gentle manipulations, craniosacral therapy, and various movement therapies. Also, Jorrie is a dedicated yoga practitioner. She is trained to offer yoga-based therapeutic exercise to clients interested in integrating treatments and enhancing health in a home routine.
Jorrie enjoys using craniosacral therapy as it is a gentle technique using a light touch and can create a profound change. Manipulations are made to the cranial and spinal bones to harmonize the movement of fluids around the brain and spinal cord and improve parasympathetic functioning. Craniosacral therapy can benefit people of all ages, especially during pregnancy, experiencing muscle tension, headaches and migraines, TMJ, vertigo, concussion symptoms, ear and sinus issues, lower back pain, sleep disturbances, and stress and burnout.
In her practice, Jorrie feels compassion is paramount, as well as providing a safe, comfortable, and relaxing space with treatments tailored to the individual's needs. She is currently accepting new clients.
