What is Clinical Counselling? Counsellors provide a safe and supportive place for people to process their lives. Counsellors are trained professionals, skilled in communication, who understand how people work through difficult feelings, events, and life stages.
Counselling can be a supportive way to heal from past events and to plan for the future. The most common reasons people access counselling are: trauma; loss; transitions such as a new baby or career change; exploration of values; sexuality questions or issues; anxiety; depression; relationship concerns; body image or health issues; social isolation; substance use; to enhance communication skills; inability to identify feelings etc.
Counsellors work with individuals (adults, children, and youth), couples, and families to help bring about positive change.
