June Swanson is a Registered Social Worker and completed her Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Social Work at the McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and her Master of Social Work at the University of British Columbia. She has been providing counselling services for over 25 years to individuals and families who are facing various health challenges. She has extensive experience working with seniors, family caregivers, issues related to adapting to aging, and providing grief and loss counselling. Drawing on both her professional and personal experience, June has the ability to enhance the resilient capabilities of individuals as they face life transitions and adjust to changing health.
June’s counselling approach is based on empowering individuals to optimize their sense of wellness and well being. Utilizing a compassionate, systemic and strength-based approach, she endeavours to meet the person where they are in their journey, within the context of their life.
June aspires to assist each individual set realistic, attainable goals, and find strength, hope and balance in their mind, body and soul.
