June Swanson is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the BC College of Social Work and holds a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia. She has been providing counselling services for over 25 years to individuals facing various life and health challenges, focusing on the importance of mind-body health. She has extensive experience working with trauma, attachment issues, grief and loss, anxiety, and life transitions. June is an EMDR Certified Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2, and a Certified Grief Counselling Specialist. Drawing on both her professional and personal experience, June enhances individuals’ resilient capabilities as they face unexpected life events. In her practice, June’s counselling approach empowers individuals to optimize their sense of wellness and well being. She utilizes various therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, IFS - Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness, all with a compassionate and strength-based focus. She aspires to assist each individual set realistic, attainable goals, and to find strength, hope and balance in their mind, body, and soul. June is an Authorized Medical Practitioner, which means her fees are deductible as a medical expense for income tax purposes. |
