June Swanson is a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Work and holds a MSW (Masters of Social Work) from the University of British Columbia. She has been providing counselling services for over 25 years to individuals and families who are facing various health challenges, focusing on the importance of mind / body health. She has extensive experience working with chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss counselling, life transitions and caregiver support. Drawing on both her professional and personal experience, June has the ability to enhance the resilient capabilities of individuals as they face unexpected life events and/or adjust to changing health.
June’s counselling approach is based on empowering individuals to optimize their sense of wellness and well being. Utilizing a compassionate, systemic and strength based approach, she endeavours to meet the person where they are in their journey, within the context of their life.
June aspires to assist each individual set realistic, attainable goals, and find strength, hope and balance in their mind, body and soul.
June is registered to take direct third-party payment from ICBC and CVAP. She is an Authorized Medical Practitioner, meaning her fee is deductible on income tax.
